Yoko is one of our co-worker/owners here at The Cheese Board Collective– you’ve maybe bought a cheese roll from her and experienced her warmth and kindness firsthand. About a month ago, her spouse, Jake, contracted COVID-19 and has been on a ventilator and in an induced coma ever since. Yoko’s been taking time off to care for their daughter, Rina, and the loss of one income and the steep decline in the other is proving to be a challenge.

We’ve established a gofundme to help the family out. If you would like, please join us in supporting Yoko and her family.

Thank you!
It’s been almost 2 years since The Cheese Board Collective has offered lunch service, but we’re bringing it back on Friday, December 31, 2021 to celebrate the new year!

Join us for hot pizza, including whole and half pizzas and slices from 11:30-4. We’ll be making a mixed mushroom pizza with baby shiitake, cremini, oyster, hedgehog, king trumpet, chanterelle, and velvet pioppini mushrooms with porcini powder, onion, mozzarella, truffle pecorino cheese, garlic olive oil, oregano, and Italian parsley. It’s a luxuriously special pizza we offer just once a year, and we’re excited to have it back!

We’ll also be offering our vegetarian Caesar salad with organic baby kale, croutons, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, and our house made Caesar dressing, which is vegan and contains soy and almond. In addition, there will be cookies, roasted garlic bulbs, soft drinks, wine, and beer, including new selections from Ghost Town Brewing in Oakland.

Partially baked pizza will be available from 8 a.m. until we close at 4 p.m. (or we run out of pizza).

We hope you can join us!

We’ve got pizza for a good cause!
The Cheese Board Collective is holding a benefit for the Helmkut Foundation and the fundraising efforts of journalist Rana Ayyub this Sunday, May 23 from 11:30-2 (or until we sell out).
100% of the money we raise will go to these organizations. Workers are donating their labor, and we are so grateful for the donation of some of the ingredients by local businesses, like Diaspora Co. (spices), Golden Rule Organics, Pacific Rim Produce, and Dan’s Farmers Market.
We’ll have curried potato pizza with onions, Valbreso feta cheese, mozzarella, garlic olive oil, organic lemon zest, and fresh cilantro (ready-to-eat half and whole pizzas and parbakes on request); chaat-masala-spiced corn salad with cucumber, red onion, romaine lettuce, and mint-raita dressing; our house made green hot sauce; and buffalo milk soft serve flavored with cardamom or Kashmiri saffron.
We hope to see you there!
