When the Cheese Board first opened in 1967, we sold a modest selection of cheeses chosen randomly from the Domestic Cheese Company catalog. Two of the original offerings included Dill Havarti and Gruyere. How times have changed! Now at the Cheese Board you can find a rotating selection of three to four hundred cheeses. We still offer Dill Havarti and Gruyere, but you can add to the list. We stock many domestic artisan cheeses, a variety of nutty, rich high-mountain cheeses, cheddars for everyone’s taste, delicious seasonal goat’s milk cheeses, a selection of feta cheeses in brine, blues of every strength, and at least twelve different kinds of Gouda.
We encourage customers to taste before making their choices of cheeses to buy. Cheese clerks are happy to assist in making suggestions about cheese plates, cheese pairings or from a selection of cheeses that are particularly delicious right now. We are proud to stock cheeses that suit every budget and every palate.
